I’m Joane—the brains (and hands) behind Sitestart. This is a passion project rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a love for building things online.

Why I Started This

I’ve always loved building websites. It started as a hobby—something I did on the side, just for fun, no pressure and no deadlines. I also love to see and make beautiful things digitally and non-digitally, or a combination of both.

Over time, I realized there’s no point in keeping it all to myself. Sitestart is my way of offering that same creativity to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits who need help getting online.

My Background

I’ve been building software for over 20 years—sometimes as an individual contributor, and lately in leadership roles. I enjoy backend programming—Java especially—but what I’m really good at is making things happen: planning, managing, and bringing software projects to life.

Over the years, the process of creating and launching projects has become second nature. I love what I do, and this is my way of giving back to the community and the industry that shaped me.

Where Code Meets Design

Building websites isn’t just about code. Design is just as important, and that’s an area I’m still growing in. But I know how critical it is to get both sides right—and I’m always learning.

Moonlippy Studios

I set up Moonlippy Studios to give my hobby a name and properly track expenses tied to creative work. It wasn’t about launching a business; just a way to organize side projects and do things the right way on paper.
